Fab Habitat is a company with a conscience: We strive to produce products that our consumers will be proud to purchase and show off in their homes everyday! At the core of the mission is our belief that sustainability doesn’t have to come as a compromise to our business or our customers.
Our Story
In 2009, we founded Fab Habitat with the goal of bringing our family business producing mats in India to our new home in New Jersey. From the very beginning, we knew we wanted to prioritize sustainability. But after witnessing the environmental devastation of the Deepwater Horizon Oil Spill in 2010, we made a resolute decision that sustainability would become the very core of our mission. We knew Fab Habitat could do so much more than just produce goods; we could find a way to produce durable, stylish home accessories that would also do good for the planet.
After 10 years of research, we’re proud to have built a beautiful line of eco-friendly rugs, mats, throws, pillows & more! When scoping out new products, we hand select each and every material for quality and sustainability, and ensure everything we manufacture is GoodWeave certified and made using fair trade principles.
Looking to the future, we’re working alongside the entire Fab Habitat team to set new industry-wide standards of unparalleled quality and environmental innovation. And as we expand our reach, we know this is just the beginning. We’re so excited to have you along for the ride!

Our Products
Fab Habitat refuses to cut corners in the name of cost. Each of our products is designed to put up with the wear and tear of children, pets, shoes, and everyday life. All products are easy to clean, durable, and include a warranty. These products are not commodities— they are long-term, long-lasting home staples.
Ethical Sourcing
Each fabric and material is carefully sourced from people and places the consumer can trust. No child labor, no harmful chemicals or dyes, and no compromises on integrity or quality. Many of our products are biodegradable or recyclable, and may be upcycled at the end of their lifespan.
Stylish Aesthetics
Fab Habitat breaks the industry stereotype that sustainable products lack style. Our constant cycle of trend-tracking, product-development, and production allows us to constantly update our line with new colors, styles, and shapes to fit the consumers' needs.
